Episode 01 - Pilot

Director: Eric Appel
Writers:Spider One, Eric Weinberg
Its exactly one year to the day since the first zombie was spotted in LA, in order to control their numbers alongside keeping the vampires and werewolves in check an undead task force known simply as UTF was set up in the district. During the opening role call Captain Dashell introduces us to new recruit Officer Kirsten Landry, and the new channel 5 crew who'll be filming the team COPS style. Officer Joe Stubeck and Officer Billy Pierce track a vampire hooker whose having problems with her vampire pimp. The final as the them lose new sound man Rodney to a convienance store zombie.
Promising pilot, I didn't really laugh out loud but was impressed with the episodes gore quota and its solid looking production value, highlight was the vampire pimp being killed with the sound boom. Oddly for a first episode it barely introduced us to the central characters, actor wise the only face I'm familiar with is Tania Raymonde who plays Officer Carla Rinaldi. She was in Lost playing Alex the daughter of the crazy French woman and the adopted daughter of Ben Linus.

Episode 02 - Help Us Help You
5 September 2011-MTV-USA
Director: Eric Appel
Writers:Spider One, Eric Weinberg
Rinaldi and John John are sent on a call to stop local teens from beating a slow walker up. Captain Dashell gives Landry her first taste of action, and Stubeck and Billy try to find a prostitute killer.
The comedys still not kicking in for me, but whats left is lively enough entertainment. Highlight was when John John punched the head through a zombie.

The team try to solve a case concerning vampires stealing from blood banks. Captain Dashell leaves Landry from the case and gives her babysitting duty involving his niece and a party shes attending.
Another episode thats short on the humour side but good in the action department. Looks like it introduced a few potential returning vampire characters. Highlight was the toppling blood wagon scene, which left Rinaldi and John John shooting zombies whilst stood on the vans side.
