Eerie, Indiana: The Other Dimension (Season 1 - Complete Series)

Eerie, Indiana: The Other Dimension
Eerie, Indiana: The Other Dimension was a spin-off of Eerie, Indiana. This series aired on the Fox Kids Network in 1998.
"My name is Mitchell Taylor and I've lived in Eerie, Indiana all my life. Up 'til now my biggest complaint was that everything was too normal. I always wished that something would happen, something weird even. If only I'd listened to that old saying, "Be careful what you wish for, it might come true." Mitchell Taylor

Episode 01 - Switching Channels
7 February 1998-Fox Kids Network-USA/Canada
Co-Starring: Richard McMillan (Ted), Tony Daniels (Elvis)
Un-Credited: Omri Katz (Marshall Teller), Justin Shenkarow (Simon Holmes)
Director: Bill Corcoran
Writer: Jim Henshaw, Peter Mohan
Mitchell Taylor and Stanley Hope meet and converse with Marshall Teller and Simon Holms from the first series via television sets all over Eerie. They soon discover that a new series of satellite dishes, which are being installed on every rooftop by a crazy cable man, are starting an inter-dimensional rift. This is causing all of the weirdness from the first Eerie to leak into this one. Both pairs of boys are determined to stop the cable guy and plug the leak in order to save the Eeries of all the dimensions from being literally torn apart.
Mitchell's family get new 2000 channel satalite television, from a new cableman in town Ned. Mitchell and his friend Stanley find out Ned's from a pararlel version of Eerie and using station 000 to hop back and forth. They stumble onto Marshall and Simon from the other dimension who tell them Ned's causing a rift that will destroy both worlds. Its up to both sets of boys to shut down the 000 network before its too late.

Interesting first episode, great seeing old Marshall Teller (Omri Katz) and Simon Holmes (Justin Shenkarow) from the original series make an appearence. The world of stuff sells the familiar black cow milkshakes, and we see a bigfoot climb through a TV set. The final Mitchell keeps an over sized TV remote as his first Eerie object, and Elvis pops by to ask if the boys have the Sandwich channel, because his cables gone down. Clearly lower production values than the original series, and Mitchell and Stanley don't gel onscreen as well as Mitchell and Simon did. But its more stories at least, and didn't start so bad, and it was fun seeing references to the original series.
